DC B’la Inspects Several Locations, Reviews Implementation of COVID-19 SOPs, Guidelines


Special Eid Arrangements have been Made by the Authorities, says Dr Itoo

Baramulla, July 30: Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo accompanied by various concerned officers today inspects several locations of Baramulla in order to get the first hand appraisal of the implementation of SOPs and guidelines issued in connection with with COVID-19 pandemic.

Pertinent to mention that the authorities in Baramulla has given 3-days special Eid relaxation  from 28th of July for the convenience of general public.

On the ocassion, DC took review of requisite advisories especially using face masks and maintaining social distancing wherein he directed the concerned agencies to ensure that all the advisories are implemented at ground level in letter and spirit. He also inspects some vehicles to check whether the passengers are adopting the related advisories besides distributes some face masks among the people.

Meanwhile, Dr Itoo said that adequate arrangements have been made for celebrating Eid smoothly and there is nothing to worry about. He said that only shops/establishments dealing with essential commodities shall remain open from tomorrow as the next phase of restrictions shall be imposed from 31st of July.

DC also inspects some bakery shops to review the implementation of advisories during which he exhorted to use proper safety measures while dealing with the public. He also inspects some designated points where sacrifical animals have been kept and took a brief appraisal of various necessities.

Appealing the people to keep in consideration various COVID-19 SOPs while celebrating Eid, DC said that adopting such measures are necessary for safeguarding human lives from the infection. He said that special magistrates and mobile teams have been deployed who shall monitor the implementation of requisite guidelines.(KNS)
